Jermaine Dixon Off And Running In ... Bosnia
As expected, Jermaine Dixon didn't reach the NBA following his senior season at Pitt. He was a key player for Pitt last season and while he was a solid defender, never showed the type of offensive game that would make you think he was ready to play in the world's top league. He went undrafted and to my knowledge, wasn't really pursued by NBA teams.
Still, Dixon is doing what many players end up doing - playing overseas. He's playing for KK Bosna in Bosnia and his season has kicked off. KK Bosna is currently in the EuroChallenge Qualifying Round, which from what I can tell, is some kind of play that begins before the regular season.
Through two games, Dixon is seeing quite a bit of time, averaging more than 25 minutes per game. And he's been productive, shooting 45% from the field and averaging 9.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
Dixon leads the team in rebounds, assists, and steals and ranks third in scoring.
