Want one of the main reasons Dave Wannstedt was fired? Look no further than the All Big East selections. Pitt has had some of the league's top talent year in and year out and failed to win even one conference title under his reign.
2010 marked another year when the Panthers were all over the all-conference teams.
PItt had five All Big East first team selections, second only to UConn's six. Players landing on the first team were Jabaal Sheard, Jon Baldwin, Jason Pinkston, Dom DeCicco, and Dan Hutchins.
Brandon Lindsey and Jarred Holley made the second team.
Even though I was in favor of giving Wannstedt another year, one thing can't be denied. He did perhaps as little with big-time talent as any team in the conference. The team had too many NFL-caliber players to not even win one league crown.
