Pitt's football recruits are coming one after another now, the latest being three-star running back Malcolm Crockett.
Crockett is the third running back commit over the past few days for coach Todd Graham. He is a three-star as rated by both Rivals and Scout and looks to be a pretty good pickup. Scout also calls him the No. 41 running back in the country. Crockett was most recently a Cincinnati Bearcats commit and also reportedly had offers from Michigan, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, and North Carolina State among others.
So what is Crockett about? Here's his assessment of himself from his Scout page.
"I hit the hole and I go hard. My best ability is making cuts at full speed. I’m a hard back to get down and I’m very powerful. Once I see a hole, I’m gone.
Sounds good to me.
It's easy to start giving coach Graham the crazy eye with all of these running backs, but it was a position of relative weakness, so it's hard to argue too much. Plus he needs the backs for his system and by the ratings, Crockett looks like he could be the best one of the bunch coming in. I don't know about you, but I'm not in a position to turn away three-star recruits.
