Pitt's baseball run ended fairly early in the Big East baseball tournament, but catcher Kevan Smith's play wasn't forgotten. He was named to the All-Big East conference first-team.
Smith was a unanimous choice, hitting three home runs and batting .417 in Pitt's three games. This was the second straight season in which he was named to the All-Conference team.
