Pitt Football Players In Postseason Bowls

Believe it or not, the disaster that was the BBVA Compass Bowl wasn't the end for Pitt football in the 2011 season. A few Panthers are playing in those oh-so-desirable postseason college football games that generally end up being watched by about 28 people (half of which find them by accident while channel surfing).

I've got nothing against the games, actually, and if I ever remembered they were on, would probably tune in myself for a bit. Still, it's easy to forget that college football season isn't entirely over.

A few Pitt seniors will be hoping to impress some scouts by playing one final game - the first of which is tomorrow.

Star-divide

Antwuan Reed will participate in the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game on Monday night. With Pitt-Syracuse, Monday Night Raw, and trying to get my week off to a good start, it's not as if I don't have enough on my plate as it is. But, nevertheless ...

Then, on Saturday, Max Gruder and Brandon Lindsey will line up in the East-West Shrine Game for the East squad.

Lindsey will get an NFL look regardless of how he does, but here's to hoping Gruder and Reed open some eyes this week.
