It's going to be an early wake-up call or an all-nighter for Pitt - Louisville. ESPN has decided on an 11AM kick-off on October 13th. Pitt has no say in the time - it's all between the Big East and ESPN. With all the homecoming activities on Friday - bonfire; fireworks; Midnight Madness on Bigelow and everything else, it might be tough to get the students and a large homecoming crowd to Heinz for what should be an important game. It will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU.
This just in: The Big East has announced that the kick-off time for Pitt - Louisville was set in order to provide a 'dry run' for the 2013 BE season opener - Rutgers @ San Diego State which will kick at 9AM local time in order to fit into ESPN's noon east coast time slot. [sarcasm intended]
