Most of us think Pitt will rebound from this. The Panthers have some good talent coming back and add Trey Zeigler and also Steven Adams to the mix. So just how good can Pitt be? Former star Ashton Gibbs says Final Four good:

Look, if you're a Pitt fan, how can you not like that? Still, sounds a bit unrealistic to me. Gibbs can, of course, make all the predictions he wants and as, you know, an actual member of the team, knows more than us about its makeup. But I've learned my lesson about predicting Final Fours for the Panthers.

There have been at least two times when Pitt has been one of the four best teams in the country and couldn't get the job done. That's not so much on them - rather, it's just difficult to get through the gauntlet. The best team doesn't always win and rarely do the four best teams make the Final Four.

Then there's the fact that Pitt isn't even supposed to be one of the nation's best teams this season. Pitt should be better, but Final Four good?

For me, I'll pass on the predictions.
