Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

With recruiting for 2013 in full swing, Pitt is hoping to still land a few big fish. We've been tracking the program's pursuit of offensive lineman Dorian Johnson and wide receiver Robert Foster pretty closely. Both are still considering Pitt and there was a small but noteworthy item in the Trib this week per Chris Harlan in the high school football notebook - both will be taking official visits to the school shortly:

Official visits

Central Valley wideout Robert Foster and Belle Vernon tackle Dorian Johnson are planning official recruiting visits to Pitt next weekend.

'Next weekend', Pitt is on a bye week so there won't be a football game to attend. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about that being a good thing or a bad thing. Either way, though, with no game, the staff should have plenty of time to spend with them. Rivals says Johnson will be in on Friday and it's apparently the same for Foster.

Pitt is reportedly up against Ohio State and Virginia Tech for Johnson's services. Foster's top three reportedly includes Pitt, Alabama, and Ohio State.
