Week 13 SB Nation Big East Power Rankings

Stay connected for news and updates

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

After a few upsets, there was some movement in my Big East power rankings ballot this week. With upset wins over Rutgers and Louisville by Pitt and UConn respectively, here are my rankings:

1. Rutgers
2. Louisville
3. Cincinnati
4. Syracuse
5. UConn
6. Pitt
7. Temple
8. South Florida

Rutgers overtakes Louisville for the top spot. They were thoroughly handled by the Panthers, but a home loss to UConn in a near-win situation isn't any better. Flip a coin, really.

After their big win, UConn moves up a bit. Go ahead and criticize the Huskies if you want, but over the past month, outside of a bad blowout loss to Syracuse on the road, they've been a good team. They beat Louisville and Pitt and were competitive in close losses to South Florida and Temple. They've definitely improved and have gotten better as the year's gone on.

Be sure to check out The UConn Blog for the final rankings later this week.
