Hilarity at its best - recently promoted defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills Dave Wannstedt has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the Arkansas Razorbacks job. The report was based on a tweet by ESPN's Joe Schad, but Schad mentioned several other names. Still, it's noteworthy that he threw his name out there pretty quickly after Bobby Petrino was fired.

What do I think?

I don't see it ... and that's putting it mildly Other than the obvious Jeff Long link, I don't think there are any other ties there. Plus, this is Arkansas - it's not Pitt. While the Wannstedt hire was fine here, I think the Arkansas folks would be livid with such a selection. The Razorbacks are used to competing in the SEC and Wannstedt couldn't even win the Big East.

In addition, every mention of Wannstedt being linked to the job goes back to that Schad tweet, which was nothing more than a collection of names.

I could be wrong, but I don't see any way this happens.
