The 2012 NBA Combine will be held in a few weeks on June 7-8 in Chicago, but neither Ashton Gibbs nor Nasir Robinson was selected. Robinson not making it isn't a huge surprise as he isn't considered much of an NBA prospect at this point, but Gibbs' omission is at least a slight surprise.

Gibbs recently participated (and fared well) in the Portsmouth Invitational. Plus, he's worked out for several teams, so all's not lost. Gibbs may have the opportunity for more workouts and the chances are good he'll end up on a summer league team as an undrafted free agent.

Still, as I recently wrote, it will be an uphill battle for him.

As promised, here's the full list of the scheduled participants at the combine. 11 of the 60 players are from the Big East.
