It isn't much, but Ashton Gibbs surfaced in a mock draft. The real version of the draft is Thursday night. To date, I hadn't seen Gibbs in a credible one.HoopsWorld, a site I've actually heard of, placed Gibbs as a late second-round pick. The site has him going to the Brooklyn Nets at 57th overall.
The Nets are one of the many teams Gibbs has worked out for, so if the selected him, it wouldn't be all that alarming. I still think Gibbs has a long shot of being taken, but the fact that he's been seen by about 1/3 of the league's teams means he's at least gotten a good look.
The site also mentions that the Nets are actually trying to move up to acquire a first-round pick and that could, of course, mean they need to include their second-round pick in the package.
Whatever happens Thursday night, I still expect Gibbs to end up in a summer camp.
