It's a bit ridiculous (and even more unfair) that we're discussing what kind of a head coach Paul Chryst is only two games into his tenure. But that's what losing two games, including one to FCS school Youngstown State, will do. And the fact that the team wasn't even competitive in the Cincinnati loss didn't help, either.
Chryst's team hasn't been real good so far - we all get that. But this week over at SB Nation Pittsburgh, I've got a feature up reviewing just why it's impossible to judge Chryst this early into his tenure. In a nutshell, he needs more time. The industry standard is usually viewed at as three years, so talking about him being a bust not even 1/4 of the way into his career is insane.
