After Pitt's win over Virginia Tech, where did the Panthers rank in the new Big East power rankings? (Photo by Justin K. Aller/Getty Images)

The Week 4 SB Nation Big East power rankings are now out. That, of course, begs the question - did Pitt's win over Virginia Tech get them out of the basement?

Well, yes. But barely. Pitt came in seventh out of eight Big East schools and the big win didn't impress most of the voters all that much.

I slotted Pitt sixth, ahead of Temple and Syracuse. Here was my full ballot:

1. Louisville
2. Rutgers
3. Cincinnati
4. UConn
5. South Florida
6. Pitt
7. Temple
8. Syracuse

Big East Coast Bias thought the most of Pitt, slotting them fourth. I'm willing to concede that Pitt may be better than a few teams ahead of them, but we've really got to see more out of the Panthers...at least I do.

Be sure to head over to The UConn Blog for the full results and the individual ballots for each school.
