Will Pitt be bowl-bound at the end of the season? (Photo by Justin K. Aller/Getty Images)
Pitt is flying high after two consecutive wins and folks are starting to take notice. After this weekend's play, ESPN had its latest round of Big East bowl projections and Pitt made the cut.
Big East blogger Andrea Adelson says the Panthers will play in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl against a Big 12 team. These projections are obviously to be taken with a grain of salt. Pitt is still four wins away from even being eligible to play in the postseason and despite the latest winning streak, there are still a lot of questions about Pitt being able to reach that goal.
And after a third loss, Adelson has backed off her stance (for now, anyway) that Syracuse would reach a bowl game instead of Pitt - something I questioned last week, if you remember.
