Week Five SB Nation Big East Power Rankings: Pitt Moves Up On Cardiac Hill Ballot

Stay connected for news and updates

After another win, albeit over a weak FCS Gardner-Webb team, Pitt is starting to make some progress. That, coupled with the fact that some Big East teams had bad weeks (I'm looking at you UConn and South Florida), and the Panthers moved up a bit on my ballot in this week's SB Nation Big East Power Rankings.

My ballot was as follows:

1. Louisville

2. Rutgers

3. Cincinnati

4. Pitt

5. UConn

6. South Florida

7. Syracuse

8. Temple

UConn's loss to Western Michigan and South Florida's loss to Ball State put both of those teams at 2-2. Pitt, also at 2-2, holds a much more impressive victory in Virginia Tech than either of those two schools, so they moved up.

Be sure to check out The UConn Blog for the full results of the poll and everyone's individual results.
