Pitt-Virginia Tech Contest ESPNU Bound

It's better than ESPN3! (I think)

With the way Pitt's been playing so far this year, I guess it shouldn't be a huge surprise that their game against Virginia Tech next weekend has been scheduled for ESPNU.

According to the release sent by the school today, the Panthers didn't make the cut for ESPN or ESPN2 and will appear on ESPNU on Saturday.

Not much to say here, though you could theorize that it may drive a small amount of people that don't have the channel and preferred to stay home down to Heinz Field and help a little with attendance.

I'm sure lots of people are expecting a horrible turnout, but I think it will actually be pretty solid. It's a Saturday afternoon game, albeit a noon kickoff, against a ranked team that used to be (and will soon again be) a conference foe. The come in ranked No. 13 in both polls and I'm guessing some will want to see that.
