Pitt gets Notre Dame in their second straight night game and their third one of the season. As we mentioned, lots of key injuries to Pitt guys including offensive linemen, middle linebacker Shane Gordon, and cornerback K'Waun Williams. The more of those guys Pitt gets back for tonight's game, the better.
The Irish come into the game favored and as I pointed out, that five-point spread would undoubtedly be a bit more if Pitt didn't have the recent history of playing the Irish well. When you factor in that along with a home game and an Irish defense that's a bit down, the Panthers should have a reasonable chance of keeping it close at the very least.
