Pitt Football Spring Game: It's here

US PRESSWIRE

There won't be any Rushel Shell, but Pitt's spring football game will be on Friday.

Everything you see always has to be taken with a grain of salt. The team won't give away all they've got - especially now that the event is televised. And while players will be anxious to play, the intensity will be much higher come the opening game.

That said, there will be some things to watch - front and center will be the quarterbacks Tom Savage and Chad Voytik. As I wrote earlier this week, Savage will be the presumed starter and he's got plenty to prove.

If you can't make it to the game, have no fear - it will be shown on ESPN3. Even better is that we'll have an open gamethread for it. So if you're at home, drop in at 7:00 p.m. and comment live during the game. Similarly, if you can't watch it, check in anyway as we'll be providing some updates with what's going on.
