Pitt 2013-14 women's basketball schedule released

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

The Pitt women's basketball schedule for next season is out. As will be the case for all of the sports this year, the focus is on it being the first year in the ACC.

Schedule highlights include a home game against 2013 Final Four team, Notre Dame. Just as in football, the women's basketball team will also open up their first ACC schedule with a game on Thursday, January 2nd against Florida State.

Pitt will take on Cal (PA) in an exhibition on Sunday, November 3rd. The season officially tips off at home on Friday, November 8th against Bucknell. The finale is on Sunday, March 2nd at Miami.

I don't make it to many women's basketball games, but you can bet I'll be there at least a time or two this season to see 6'11" (yes, 6'11") redshirt freshman Bubbles Anderson. And, of course, the goal is to finally win a conference game. So there's that.
