Pitt vs. New Mexico: Open Gamethread

Gameday is here, folks. In just a few hours, Pitt will take on New Mexico in the second game of the season.

The Panthers are heavy favorites but, yeah, after Youngstown State, I don't know that anyone should be taking any team lightly. Pitt is still playing with a lot of new players on offense and while the Lobos don't have the talent that Florida State does, they do have a running back in Kasey Carrier that has the potential to have a big day.

Our own Jim (FloodCityPanther) will be live in the press box on game duty and will be in the game thread. I'll be at the game as will several of our other writers and as long as I can remember to bring my cell phone, will be commenting as well.

Head on over to our game page with all of the week's stories on the game to learn a little more about New Mexico. Also be sure to check out Mountain West Connection for the spin from the New Mexico point of view.

In the meantime, leave your pregame predictions, thoughts, and expectations until kickoff at 12:30. The game will be on ESPN3/WatchESPN if you're not down at Heinz Field.
