Pitt has plenty of players in the NFL, but one guy that's had a good deal of success a bit under the radar is former offensive lineman Jason Pinkston. Pinkston was a fifth-round pick in 2011, selected by the Cleveland Browns. He proved to be a good value and started at right guard for the team last season.
PInkston, though, sprained his ankle in a preseason game and was just placed on the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return list. Basically, Pinkston will be out for at least a couple of months. He can start practicing with the team in Week 7 and can't officially return to game action until Week 9.
The move obviously hurts the Browns a bit. They're starting to get on the right track offensively, adding some key pieces over the past few years in quarterback Brandon Weeden and running back Trent Richardson. They've had Joe Thomas, who's been one of the best tackles in the NFL, and are hoping to dig their way out of the AFC North basement.
