On a typical basketball roster, with 13 scholarships, you would think you would have 5 guards, 5 bigs, and 3 small forwards.
Or something along those lines.
(Ryan Luther is projected by the recruiting sites as being a SF. But, that is where Jamel Artis was projected at as well, and I do not believe he played a minute at SF. And, when was the last time that Dixon let someone 6'9" play SF?)
That's SEVEN bigs!!
OK, so many believe Uchebo will not be able to play, be given a medical scholarship or something along those lines, and not be in the roster next year. But, last I heard they are bringing in a 2014 center in as a possible replacement for Joe. So, if that happens that STILL makes seven bigs.
Meanwhile on the perimeter we got 6 players (Robinson, Wright, Newkirk, Jeter, Johnson and Jones) and, you could handle it with 5 or even 4 players, but we're still a bit thin there especially with Durand not necessarily being ready at the start of the season.
So, is it just me or, do we have an imbalance here on the roster??
