Cardiac Hill Poll of the Week: Can Jamie Dixon lock down the top talent for Pitt?

Jamie Dixon will try and put his hand down on some big recruits the next couple of years. - Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

With "Smoke" on board, can Jamie Dixon keep and add to the elite talent that seems to be moving towards Pitt?

When the news of Barry Rohrssen leaving Jamie Dixon's staff broke, there was immediate concern that the top recruits/commits would follow suit.  Fears were not eased very much when Kentucky (Rohrssen's new home) reached out to Cheick Diallo and Mustapha Heron. We all know that Marlon Williamson has been added to the staff and while some may not like it, he is hungry and aggressive and has connections of his own. The question in this week's poll is a simple one: Are you confident that Dixon, Williamson, and company can land top recruits over the next couple of years?

We all know the names that are are committed to Pitt or have been reported to have strong interest. It starts with Damon Wilson and continued to roll with Heron and also local product Maverick Rowan. All are highly thought of by coaches and rating systems. Diallo would be a big-time get as well and the rumors are beginning to swirl about Williamson's connection with Cassius Winston. With Rohrssen gone and Williamson in, can Pitt lock these guys down and end up with that elite talent all over the floor that many feel has kept the Panthers from making a true NCAA Tourney run?
