"His wrist and hands were banged up," Zanna said. "He banged it like three times in a row. There was a lot of pain. He couldn't sustain the pain so he just had to cry. I don't even know if I would say it was crying, but if you looked at his face it looked like he was crying. This program might have been too tough for him. I think that's why he left."

"I’m just trying to get back as fast as I could, but at the same time they don’t want me to come back too early and then re-injure it and I could be out 12 weeks," Woodall told SNY.tv Saturday.
"I never knew how severe an injury like this was. This is probably the most severe injury I ever had in my career."

"I think what John Marinatto just did, he should get a substantial raise for what he just accomplished. Getting Boise State. Getting Houston, SMU. I think that is as good of a job for a commissioner with his back against the wall as I’ve seen since I’ve been in athletics. The teams you lost aren’t as good in football as the teams you’re bringing in."

"A real (jerk), that guy," Alecxih said.
"You should have seen our first meeting," Alecxih said. "He came in with a wrinkled suit, the worst suit I had ever seen. It looked like he had picked it up at Goodwill.
"He said, 'Do me a favor, everybody sit up in your chairs.' Basically, he told us we owed him something. Very arrogant.
"We walked out of the meeting and we said, 'Wow, that's going to be our next head coach?' When he got fired (after he was arrested on a domestic abuse charge), I was happy."
"I just didn't want to give him the easy layup," the 5-foot-11 Woodall said. "Normally, I would try to contest the shot and make it difficult for him. At that point in the game, we needed a stop."
