Pitt football coach Todd Graham has been working around the clock to improve the team's recruiting situation as best he can. How's he doing? Well, for starters, more visits are set to happen this weekend.

Found this small tidbit to be interesting in Paul Zeise's most recent blog entry in the Post-Gazette:

And last night I was at the Pitt men's game trying to catch up with some of the staff and I talked with Tony Gibson and he told me that this is the just the start - that as big as this weekend was, they expect next weekend to be even bigger.

That could be true as Pitt has some more visits lined up this weekend.

If that turns out to be true, that's obviously welcome news. Looks like in addition to all the other hopefuls out there, Graham has some more visits this weekend including a cornerback, a wide receiver, and a safety/athlete among others (need to be an Insider to view all links).

Meanwhile, Pitt's once depleted recruiting class is now slowly getting better and up to ten commits. So how does the class stack up? Well, Scout currently has Pitt ranked 78th. Not so hot, but they should be on the rise as I expect several more commits before signing day. And considering the mess the class was in before Graham got here, anything approaching a top 50 class should make fans pretty happy.
