Some great news for Pitt recruiting this weekend as one of the program's biggest recruiting targets put Pitt in his top three. Central Valley's Robert Foster, ranked as high as the twenty-second overall prospect in the country, tweeted that his top three were Pitt, Alabama and Ohio State:
"The reason I decided to do that now is those are three that make me feel comfortable," said Foster, regarded by scouting services as one of the nation’s best wideouts.
A player of Foster's caliber should feel good about contributing immediately at any program, but Pitt's lack of star power at the receiver position should help the Panthers. With Mike Shanahan out the door after this season, it's easy to imagine Foster sliding right into his place on the depth chart opposite Devin Street.
Foster is just one of Pitt's top WPIAL targets that has major interest in the Panthers. Offensive lineman Dorian Johnson has also recently said that Pitt is in his top three, even calling them his favorite.
