Doctor Robert: Pitt vs. Virginia Tech injury report

Don't look now but Pitt is actually sort of healthy. Head coach Paul Chryst, as a matter of fact, even says the team is as healthy as they've been for a while.

The big news, of course, was the team getting Tom Savage on the field. The quarterback suffered a concussion in the Virginia game, but is expected to play per Chryst, who said he was cleared in his weekly press conference. Savage being able to play is really key for Pitt, obviously.

The other news was that Shane Gordon is expected to be ready, too. Gordon, the senior middle linebacker, didn't play against Virginia and was replaced by Matt Galambos due to an unknown injury. Getting him back in there instead of the freshman is great news for the defense.

Another guy to watch for is defensive lineman Bryan Murphy, who hasn't played in the past two games. If he can't go, Ejuan Price should get the bulk of the time at end opposite David Durham, but Chryst said he expects him to play.

Lastly, not sure if backup center Gabe Roberts will be able to play or not but he's not listed on the two deep as Shane Johnson is listed in his place there. He also didn't play against Virginia.

All in all, things don't sound too bad on the injury front.
