Just when it was starting to look like Pitt had finally started leaking players, news broke on Sunday that Demitrious and Chris Davis, the Davis twins, were transferring out of the program.
Twins Chris and Demitrious Davis have decided to transfer from Pitt.

One thing of note is that as Chris Peak points out, the moves put Pitt under the scholarship limit of 85 for the current year. Pitt was over the limit and needed to find a solution, anyway. But Peak also notes that more could come as well, so we'll see where this goes.
The Davis' were two of the few recruits to stick around after Todd Graham jettisoned to Arizona State. Both were initially wide receivers, but Demitrious had moved to running back this spring. Both areas are a bit thin on proven players, so their departures could hurt a little. With the losses of Rushel Shell and Corey Davis at running back, and the graduation of Mike Shanahan, there's some transition in each of those units. Demitrious probably was in line to get a bit more time due to the sheer lack of depth in the backfield, but I'm not sure how much either would factored in this season.
Still, the moves hurt the depth a little if nothing else.
