In reality, I should have probably posted this at the beginning of the tournament, but figured I'd have daily recaps up.
Yeah, so that hasn't happened.
In case you're behind, Pitt is 2-1 in the Big East Tournament and still kicking (as of Saturday morning, anyway). The team is in the elimination round, so one more loss means buh bye.
Pitt won their opener against St. John's, lost to Notre Dame, then beat Seton Hall yesterday in a comeback, extra-inning game. The Panthers trailed in that game 5-1 at one point, so it was a big win.
Just as importantly, it gave Pitt another victory over a quality opponent. And with Louisville and Seton Hall now out, the Panthers are the highest remaining seed left in the tournament. The team now has 42 wins on the season as they hope to make it into the NCAAs. Pitt takes on Notre Dame this morning at 10:00 a.m. and hey, you can see it on ESPN3.
You can use this thread to comment on today's game as well as the rest of the Big East Tournament.
