James Robinson lands on Team USA U19 squad after all

After first missing out on the team, James Robinson was a late addition to the Team USA U19 hoops roster.

Robinson, who previously missed the cut after attending training camp, was added and will participate with the team. The reason for the late change? Syracuse's Jerami Grant, who was named to the team initially, came down with mono. That opened the door for Robinson.

You might remember that he played for the U18 team last year, helping them to a gold medal win over Brazil. Robinson nearly missed out on joining the team last year, but impressed Billy Donovan enough to get a spot. He played pretty well when given the opportunity, but his stats (4.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists) were pretty modest.

The tournament runs from June 27th through July 5th in Prague. Robinson and Team USA will face the Ivory Coast in their first game on Thursday. Team USA is in Group D with the Ivory Coast, Russia, and China.
