2013 Pitt Football Training Camp: Day 5

Pitt's training camp rolled on over the weekend and for the first time in a couple of days, they practiced outside. Only a short update here as I've been out all day.

Today was the first day in full pads. The notable portion was the injuries as starters Isaac Bennett, K'Waun Williams, and Jason Hendricks all sat out. Bennett, if you'll remember from yesterday's update, didn't participate in the 11-on-11 red zone drills, so it looks like he's still ailing a bit.

Also in Sam Werner's notes from that link is that James Conner appears to be getting a hold of the backup running back spot. That's a bit of a surprise to some I'm sure since Malcolm Crockett appeared like he could be the guy there or even Desmond Brown, who had a big spring game.

Pitt will have a two-a-day session tomorrow closed off to the media. So look for precious little info to leak out.

We leave you with a little video of offensive linemen taking on defensive linemen.
