Oh boy.
Well, if you thought that Pitt had shed its favorite home away from home, Birmingham, think again.
The Birmingham Bowl (formerly the BBVA Compass Bowl) is back and better than ever. And now, they've followed Pitt to the ACC for the 2014-2019 seasons:
The ACC will provide a team to the Beef ‘O’Brady’s Bowl after the 2014 and 2016 seasons and will serve as the Bowl’s first conditional choice in the other four years if either of its primary partners are not able to provide a team. The Birmingham Bowl will be a second conditional bowl for the ACC, if it has an available team beyond the Beef ‘O’Brady’s Bowl choice. The ACC is the first conditional choice of the Birmingham Bowl, should either of that bowl’s primary partners not have an eligible team.
The Panthers, of course, played in three straight games in Birmingham becoming the joke of, well, everyone. The Birmingham News also had a story about the game and with a header photo showing the Panthers winning the bowl back in 2011. Troll so hard, Birmingham. Troll. So. Hard.
TNIAAM also got in on the fun. Thanks, guys?
This is actually pretty funny. Even though an ACC team isn't guaranteed to play in the game, I mean, come on - you want to see Pitt back there again as much as I do, right? Who wouldn't want this to happen.
Look on the bright side - any bowl game is better than none and if Pitt ends up there, it's better than ...
Never mind.
