The other day, I gave some odds for this year's basketball team to win the title from Bovada. The site also has some odds for next year's football championship already and it's safe to say that the football team is more of a long shot than the hoops squad.
The Panthers aren't ridiculous long shots by any means, but at 100:1, chances are we won't see Pitt holding the championship trophy next year. Those odds 'ranked' Pitt 34th, so clearly, they might not be all that far from (ducks) the Top 25. The slotting of the Panthers is probably about right in my opinion, though, you can certainly argue that even 100:1 is a little generous.
Florida State, as you might expect, was the favorite to win it all again, but it should be noted that these odds will almost certainly shift and change a good deal over the coming weeks based on players declaring for the NFL Draft.
