Pitt vs. North Carolina State (with Guess the Score Contest!): Open Gamethread

Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt's first ACC game as a new member of the conference is finally here. Today's game should tell us a lot about Pitt. North Carolina State isn't the toughest team in the ACC, but playing on the road against some quality competition will be a good test - particularly for Pitt's younger players.

The teams have a common opponent in Cincinnati and Pitt fared a little better in their one-point loss as the Wolfpack lost by 11 to the Bearcats. NC State has a good win against Tennessee but also lost to NC Central ... so, yeah. Still, make no mistake - led by the ACC's leading scorer, T.J. Warren and with the game on the road, North Carolina State is plenty capable of beating Pitt.

Also, don't forget about our Guess the Score contest. Here are the official rules, but really, all you need to do is take a guess at Pitt's final score for today's game. The two closest people will win an awesome Pitt calendar made up of removable photos of vintage football game photos.

So leave your total score for Pitt below in the comments section before the game starts at noon.
