Pitt script for Homecoming

Pitt is wearing the script helmets for tomorrow.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt Script is Back! And no, I am being serious. All the funny business of this story will be on Cardiac Spill shortly.

The rumors started to surface a short while ago when James Conner tweeted that the team will be wearing the script on the helmets tomorrow, and the official Twitter account of the football team confirmed it shortly thereafter.

Obviously, this is kind of a big deal. Pitt fans have had two calling cries through the years and that is build an on-campus stadium, and bring back the script. On Saturday the one argument goes away - at least for a little bit.

As you can see, the colors aren't any different, and they merely just changed the helmet decals. Still, it's exciting that the team will be wearing the famed logo that is widely popular and the same one the team wore during their most successful seasons.

Can Pitt make it a full time thing? It may be something to be considered, but for now this should make everyone pretty happy for the day.

It is a big weekend with Pitt having a chance to move to 3-1 in the Coastal Division. They are playing a big conference game against Georgia Tech with a big homecoming crowd expected to be on hand. The game is at the preferred 3:30 p.m. start time with many big recruits for both basketball and football on hand.  Heading into tomorrow, it should be a picture perfect day, hopefully the team can respond to and feed off the energy that will be at Heinz Field.
