Don't let this afternoon go to waste if you want to see Virginia Tech before they invade Heinz Field on October 16th for ESPN's Thursday night game. Much like Pitt, the Hokies are off after today until that date. Fortunately, the schedule makers have given us another break and scheduled their affair this afternoon with a lot of time to spare, so Pitt fans can check it out before the Pitt-UVA kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
Virginia Tech will travel to North Carolina to tangle with the Tar Heels on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The game is scheduled for ESPN3, so check your local listings or hop onto your laptop to view the game. The team comes into the contest with a 3-2 record and is 0-1 in the conference. After their early season upset of Ohio State, they lost two close ones to East Carolina and Georgia Tech. The Hokies will be looking to continue last week's rebound against Western Michigan and build a little momentum coming into the bye week before facing Pitt on the 16th.
UNC has struggled after a 2-0 start and now sit at 2-2 after having their defense dismantled by East Carolina and Clemson. ECU hung 70 on the Tar Heels and they didn't fare much better against Clemson's young offense, who hung 50 points on them. Which team will right the ship and shape the rest of their season?
Find out Saturday.
