Highlights - Alex Paulina Highlights

Alex Paulina was the first commitment for the 2009 recruiting class, and he is definitely an important one. The Canon-McMillan star will likely be a candidate to take over the center position down the line. He displays great strength and impressive burst for a big guy, and it shows on his film. Unfortunately, his talents did not lead his team to any wins this season. The Big Macs are typically towards the bottom of the WPIAL Class AAAA standings, but despite his team's poor play he was able to be recognized as a division one talent.

Alex Paulina will likely come in and redshirt, and that is not a bad thing. Paul Chryst and his staff have prioritized the offensive line since they have arrived, and next year it looks like it could be their best unit yet. There is a lot of talent and depth up and down the depth chart, and it allows for guys like Paulina to come into the program and get stronger for a year, and work on learning the system.  Center is an important position, as we have noticed with Rowell's absence, and I think he is the type of player that has the ability to take on the position and all it takes with it.
