Pitt wraps up its Maui Invitational appearance today when they face Kansas State. The Wildcats nearly knocked off No. 3 Arizona on Tuesday and considering the Panthers were blown out of the water by No. 15 San Diego State, today's game is hardly a gimme for Pitt.
It's going to be interesting to see how the team responds to its third game in three days. The team has some depth - particularly now that they've been playing true freshmen Cameron Johnson and Ryan Luther. Still, three games in three days wears on you and while Kansas State has suffered the same fate, Pitt is an extremely young team.
The Panthers are going to need to play better at both ends to beat Kansas State, who has looked far more impressive in the Maui Invitational than Pitt has. Game time is at 7:30 p.m. and you can catch it on ESPN2.
