Pitt vs. Miami: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Panthers' football season (mercifully, some would say) ends today with a finale against Miami. Pitt has a chance to reach a bowl game with a win today, but that won't come easy. The Hurricanes have had their share of bumps in the road this year, but have looked more impressive than Pitt has.

Not only does Miami look like the better team, but they also get the game at home. If Pitt is going to reach the postseason, they'll need a big effort from, well, everybody. A win wouldn't erase the ills of this season such as the blown leads against Duke, North Carolina, and Iowa, or the ugly defeats to Akron and Georgia Tech. But getting to a bowl game would at least give the team the opportunity to finish on a high note as they did last season.
