After Aaron Donald's monster senior season at Pitt, the defensive lineman was taken in the first round of this year's NFL Draft. Donald isn't quite as dominant yet as he was in college, but he's more than making his mark. He is playing so well, in fact, that one site thinks he may be the NFL's top rookie.
Pro Football Focus not only recently ranked Donald as the best defensive rookie, but the best one overall - offense or defense.
After serving as a reserve, Donald quickly became a starter only five games into the season and ESPN has called him the Rams' best defensive lineman. Through 11 games, he has 31 tackles and five sacks - three of which, have come in November alone. Those numbers lead all rookies on the defensive line.
Pro Football Focus dropped Donald to No. 2 behind Khalil Mack in their most recent rankings a few days ago, but it's still great to see him rated so highly. The leap to the NFL hasn't seemed to affect Donald all that much.
