Pitt vs. Manhattan: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt basketball gets back to it tonight with a game against Manhattan. Last we saw the Panthers, they were narrowly squeaking by against St. Bonaventure in a narrow 58-54 win. As I wrote then, I think the Bonnies are a decent team, but Pitt just shouldn't have that much trouble with them at home.

Pitt is back in the Pete for tonight's game and gets what should be a beatable 2-6 Manhattan team. The Badgers own only wins against Marist and Binghamton, and are coming off of an eight-point defeat to Rutgers. Manhattan has had some close games, including one where they took UMass to overtime - so they shouldn't be overlooked here. But if Pitt shoots better from the field than they did against St. Bonaventure, the game just shouldn't be all that close.

Game time is at 7:00 p.m. and you can catch the game on ESPN3. Join us then to comment live during the game.
