Pitt vs. Indiana: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Outside of the Maui Invitational, Pitt has arguably its biggest non-conference game tonight on the road against Indiana as part of the ACC-B1G Challenge.

Things won't be easy for the Panthers as they try to slow down one of the highest scoring teams in the nation to this point. As of this weekend, the Hoosiers ranked eighth overall in D-I in scoring, averaging nearly 90 points per game. Indiana, like most teams, hasn't faced a lot of quality competition to date. Still, when you score that much, there's clearly some talent there.

That comes in the form of guards James Blackmon, Jr. and Yogi Ferrell, who combine for 39 points per contest.

The primary weakness for Indiana, though, is on defense. As of Sunday, the Hoosiers ranked 287th in the nation, allowing nearly 73 points per game. Pitt isn't a great offensive team, but this may be a shootout of sorts since both defenses have been questionable this year.

Game time is at 7:00 p.m. and it will be on ESPN2/WatchESPN. Join us then to comment live during the game.
