Pat Narduzzi to Pitt: Early national media Twitter reaction positive on the Panthers' hire

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

It's early, but one thing is clear after news broke of Pitt's expected hire of Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi - the move is drawing a lot of positive reaction.

On the national level, a few media members already have chimed in and love the move.

Matt Maisel says the move is not only a decent one, but as good as Pitt could have done, citing his excellent ability to coach defense:

ESPN's Chris Low says that Narduzzi to Pitt seems like a slam dunk:

ESPN's Joe Schad says Narduzzi is a great fit for the Panthers:

Grantland writer Chris Brown says it's a good hire as well:

And if you're on Twitter, pay attention to the countless Michigan State fans who believe this is terrible news for their team. By all accounts, Narduzzi is a guy that their fanbase didn't want to see leave.

Finally, as I mentioned earlier, Michigan State had even had a large endowment, which, in part, was to be used to keep Narduzzi as the team's defensive coordinator. For that many people to recognize his worth, if nothing else, Pitt is getting a coach that is well regarded ... by just about everybody.
