Last week wasn't easy, but the Panthers managed two wins to reach the magic 20-win mark and keep close to the top of the ACC standings as well. Next up, Pitt will get a rematch and then face one of the perennial powerhouses in the league and both will be seen nationwide.
First, the Panthers will get a rematch after a tough loss in upstate New York in the friendly confines of "The Pete" when Syracuse comes to town. The Orange still sit undefeated and are now the No. 1 in the country, and the game will be seen by everyone on ESPN Wednesday night with tipoff at 7:00 p.m. Top 5 teams have not had the best of luck in Oakland and Pitt will look to continue that trend this coming week in a game that could earn them some national respect finally.
Pitt will then hit the road (Tobacco Road, that is), when they travel to Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. The game will be played at 1:00 p.m. on the very blue campus of North Carolina and you can tune into CBS to take in the action. The Tar Heels had been playing sluggish at the start of the year, but a five-game winning streak has them back in postseason conversations. They will be coming off the first meeting of the year between them and primary rival Duke when Pitt visits down south, so they could be ripe for the picking.
Either way, this looks to be a difficult week for the Panthers.
