Pitt vs. Syracuse: Open Gamethread

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Well folks, here we are.

Pitt takes on Syracuse tonight and while I find this one to be an uphill battle, the Panthers have made a living out of proving skeptics wrong. The team has everything going against them tonight - facing an undefeated No. 1 team, injuries to their top two players, not having played well in four games now. All of that said, Pitt has to come into this one jacked out of their minds.

I wrote recently that this might be the only opportunity left for a true statement win and the Panthers need to come out in this one like it's an NCAA tournament game. Voters have been down on Pitt and what they need right now is to prove they can not only hang with the elite, but beat them.

The game starts at 7:00 p.m. and you can catch it on ESPN. Join us at 7:00 p.m. to comment live during the game. Meanwhile, leave your pregame thoughts below.
