Pitt Football Recruiting and National Signing Day Coverage: All Recruitin' All The Time

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

When I started this blog about five years ago, we (or I, actually) did nothing in the way of recruiting. I pretty much always vowed that we wouldn't and then promptly began covering it a little, of course.

Nowadays, we cover every commitment in football and basketball with at least a post (sometimes, several). We also track some of the larger targets out there, and recap each of the signing classes. The site will never be one fully geared towards recruiting, but we do spend increasingly more time on it each year.

The last couple of years, our coverage of National Signing Day has increased and we'll be doing even more this year. If it's not your thing, no worries - the site will still have plenty of non-recruiting stuff this week. However, we're poised to do as much as we've ever done.

Today and tomorrow, we'll be bringing you a preview of sorts. I'll have a look back at the 2013 recruits and also look ahead to the projected ACC class rankings. In addition, Jim will be doing a post ranking all of the expected recruits in the 2014 class.

Wednesday is National Signing Day, and we'll again be hosting an open thread that runs all day long. We'll be manning it starting at around 7:00 a.m. and Jim will be covering it most of the morning as faxes roll in, providing some analysis and on hand to answer questions.

Later on NSD, we'll have several posts on a few of Pitt's bigger recruits that officially signed and their impact to the team.

It won't end there, though. On Thursday and Friday, we'll have extensive recaps. I'll have the biggest developments from Wednesday and updated a look at updated ACC rankings. Chris will also break down the signed class for Pitt and offer some early predictions for 2014.

If that's not enough, Jesse will also be hosting another podcast for us dedicated to NSD and recruiting at some point in the week.

Lastly, in 2013, we hosted a stream with all of our posts. This year, we're taking it a step further and will have an entire site dedicated entirely to National Signing Day that will take the place of the rosters and list of recruits on our main page. Anything related to NSD will be placed there for your consumption and also appear on our main page. In other words, you'll be able to find everything for NSD on that single dedicated site.

If recruiting is your thing, we hope you'll drop by.
