Pitt's women's soccer program is coming off of a 4-14-1 season and was winless in the conference last year. Looks like moving to the ACC could have some kind of impact, though.

Despite the bad season, the Panthers signed the No. 14 recruiting class in the nation according to BigSoccer.com and as the athletics department site says, it could be the best class in school history.

The new class really comes just in time since the move to the ACC represents a step up in competition. The Panthers were completely overmatched in their first ACC season last year and while they lost some close 1-0 matches to North Carolina State, North Carolina, and Miami, they were beaten by at least two goals in every other conference matchup.

It's too early to say the program has turned the corner, but with such a highly-ranked class coming off of a losing season, things could be looking up.
