Pitt's climb up the college wrestling rankings continued as the Panthers rose for the third straight week in the NCAA poll. After the Panthers win a few weeks ago against Oklahoma State, the team jumped into the top ten at No. 8. The following week, they defeated Virginia and climbed to No. 7.

After last week's 33-6 trouncing of West Virginia, the wrestlers were rewarded with yet another bump up to No. 6.

The wrestling program is generally a very good one, but they're having some season this year. The only loss was to No. 1 Penn State and they own wins against No. 8 Oklahoma State, No. 12 Virginia, and No. 23 Lehigh.

The Panthers have another big test this week in No. 16 Virginia Tech at home on Friday. You can actually catch it on ESPN3 (as you can other meets coming up including Edinboro and Michigan) at 7:00 p.m. Good stuff.
