Pitt vs. Virginia Tech: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

Pitt gets Virginia Tech this afternoon at home. Some might call it a trap game, but I just don't see the Hokies giving Pitt a lot of trouble in this one.

You could point to the team's lack of offense lately or the weak performance against Miami, but Virginia Tech just hasn't played well this year. The Hokies are one of the worst teams in the ACC and not only are they losing, but they're getting handled rather easily. 20-point loss to Florida State. 20-point loss to Maryland. 24-point loss to BC. 20-point loss to Virginia.

And those are just the last four games.

The bottom line is that if Pitt has any trouble in this game, they're likely having another Miami-esqe performance. The Panthers should win this one by double digits today and this gives the team a great chance for some momentum going into the Syracuse game next week.
